Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all our business relations with our customers. Our company Custom Reg Plates Ltd hereinafter referred to as ‘our Company’
and the person purchasing bespoke goods and personally created these goods from our ‘Company’ is hereinafter referred to as the ‘Purchaser’.
Section 13 of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (Statutory Instrument 200 No.2334) no cancellations are accepted once your order has been placed in person or the internet, or a telephone purchase unless it is our company fault.
There is no ‘cooling off period’, the transaction cannot be reversed and no refund can be given. Therefore it is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that all the correct details are entered before you commit to purchase. Under the Distance Selling Regulations our Company must notify you that the service we provide begins as soon as an order is received online.
Our Company is government DVLA approved to manufacture and sell number plates. The DVLA do not sponsor show plates and consider show plates as illegal if driven on the road. These show plates are forbidden by law to be used on cars being driven on UK roads.
The Quality Materials
All the materials we use to make our number plates are made to British Standard laws, therefore it is by law as a number plate supplier and governed to only use reflectors and acrylics that have been DVLA tested and approved by (RNPS)
Delivery Services
We cannot guarantee delivery of items on a Saturday or Sunday or Bank Holidays.
The time scales of delivery are estimated and not a guaranteed of a time frame. Our company cannot be held responsible for delays to your delivery issues caused or associated with our chosen delivery partner. As such we are unable to offer refunds or compensation for such delays. This must be taken up with the postal company.
All orders are dispatched by the couriers you select. Orders placed before 5pm will be dispatched on the same day. Orders placed after 5pm or next day.
All Express orders have to be ordered before 2pm in order to receive your goods the following day. We cannot be held liable if you select an incorrect delivery method or if their is a delay in you receiving your item in due time.
Lost Goods
Lost items are not deemed lost by couriers until 14 days after posting. We are in no way responsible for any lost items. Any replacements for lost items will be
re-dispatched at our discretion.
We cannot replace or refund lost or stolen goods in transit without a full courier postal investigation. We may not refund or replace your goods at all or until the insurance comes to a decision. We will not be held responsible if the courier leaves your package outside of your property and someone else takes it.
Email and SMS
We like to communicate with our customers to inform you of notices and we may use your personal data to send you marketing or notice messages by email and SMS. These messages may be tailored to your purchase and other information we hold about you, based on your purchase activity. However you can opt out of this if you require.
If you wish to no longer receive marketing communications from us, you can at any time by contact us or clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any email. Please note we may still contact you with transaction and deliver messages.
Whilst every attempt will be made to ensure the fastest possible dispatch of your goods, the Company cannot guarantee any specific time period as that is controlled by the courier. Our Company cannot accept responsibility for delays or errors caused by the postal system team or third party carriers which we have no control over.
In the unlikely event that your number plates arrive damaged or faulty please tell us before you send the items back, as we cannot be held responsible if we are not expecting goods. A call or email to explain the problem and if we agree we will give you a return address to send it to.
We will not be held responsible if you drill a wrong hole position or if damage the plates. Our word is final after we have check it. If the damage is caused because of us then we will be happy to fix or replace with a new plate. Damaged plates will be replaced at our discretion.
Legal Plate means they are lawful to drive on the road as agreed by the road traffic act the government and DVLA and will pass an MOT test. However the Showroom plates are illegal to use on the road and we do not encourage anyone to do that as it is unlawful.
The showroom number plates that we supply are not Car Registration Plates which means that they are not legal and made for “off road” use only, and car shows and exhibitions and for use on private land etc, where road traffic law clauses do not apply.
Strong Restrictions on show plates being driven on UK roads are in force. Purchaser who buy show plates and use them on the road do this at their own risk and our company cannot be held responsible for the purchasers actions. This may result in fines & prosecution and fail of MOT if show plate are used and driven on UK roads.
It is the purchasers responsibility to make sure all selection of spacing on the plate is same as your own and you the customer who is in control of being compliant with relevant DVLA code of conduct regulations..
Returns & Refunds
Show plates are a personalised product to the customers benefit only therefore refunds or returns are not accepted or if you change your mind or don’t like the items. You will be able to see your product being designed in our online plate builder which gives you an exact example of what your plats will look like, it is what you entered in the plate design. Please make sure it is what you want to buy before you press place order button. The plates supplied by our company will be the same design and the style you chose and entered in our online plate builder. Our return address is different to our registered office address. If you need to send something back you must first contact us so we can give you the Return Address and a reference log number.
Liability
Our company maximum payment liability is limited to the amount of the purchaser cost i.e. partial or full refund of the goods only and no other claims will not be considered. Refunds are only given if we make a mistake.
Oversea Buyers
We do not currently sell or ship any of our products to any EU or other foreign country and therefore our company cannot be held liable if you order from outside of the UK or if you order and expect an international delivery. These items are for UK customers with UK addresses.
